New USPS® Postage Rates for July 2025

The U.S. Postal Service announced new pricing adjustments scheduled to take effect on July 13, 2025.

Key highlights of the changes include:

  • A 5-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, raising the cost from 73 cents to 78 cents
  • An overall price adjustment of approximately 7.4% for mailing services products
  • Price increases on Ground Advantage, Parcel Select, and Priority Mail

Prices for shipping products will increase as follows:

  • Ground Advantage will increase 7.1%
  • Parcel Select will increase 7.6%
  • Priority Mail will increase 6.3%

No price changes are being made to Priority Mail Express, Domestic Extra Services, International Ancillary Services, or International Products.

 

 

Current USPS® Postage Rates 

The new USPS® postage rates are in effect as of July 13, 2025. The new pricing affects competitive mailing and shipping products, including First Class Mail®, Priority Mail® and Ground Advantage®. See a list of current prices on key postal services below.
 

July 2025 Postal Rate Changes

Postage rates from the U.S. Postal Service have been approved, leading to several price increases to mailing and shipping services. You can get all the USPS, FedEx and UPS postal and shipping rates on our Small Business Postage Rate Hub.

Stamps

  • Stamp Price: 78¢
  • Discounted Meter Price: 74¢

 

Metered Rate

  • Meter Price: 74¢

 

Certified Mail® with Return Receipt:

  • Certified Mail fee: from $4.85 to $5.30
  • Return Receipt (hard copy) cost: from $4.10 to $4.40
  • Return Receipt (electronic) cost: from $2.62 to $2.82

 

Presort prices

  • Presort pricing: $0.593 (5- Digit Automation Letter - 1 oz.)
  • Presort postcards: $0.610 (Postcard Machinable Presorted)

 

Here are the average price increases on key shipping products

  • Ground Advantage: +7.1%
  • Priority Mail: +6.3%
  • No changes to Priority Mail Express in July 2025

USPS Ground Advantage: What package service has it replaced?

As a part of last year's postal rate changes, the USPS introduced a new package service called Ground Advantage. USPS Ground Advantage is an affordable and reliable way to ground ship packages up to 70 lbs.  

 

 USPS Ground Advantage Features

• Packages delivered in 2-5 business days across the continental United States.
• Free package pickup service at home or in-office.
• Commercial and retail prices available.
• Free packaging Business customers can use USPS Ground Advantage return service as a convenient option for customers who need to send items back.
• $100 insurance included on USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Ground Advantage Return packages. Customers can purchase up to $5,000 in additional coverage.

 

This service replaces USPS Retail Ground, USPS Parcel Select Ground, and USPS First-Class Package Service, First class package return, and ground returns. This is the primary option for sending hazardous materials (HAZMAT) that can’t go by air.

Make sure your postage meter is IMI compliant and meets all of the new USPS requirements!

Don’t delay if you are using soon-to-be outdated IBI indicia technology.
